The 2025/2026 winter semester is very busy at JSI. We are carrying out the Experimental Reactor Physics course for nuclear engineering M.Sc. students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Ljubljana, consisting of weekly exercises at the JSI TRIGA research reactor. The course covers the fundamental phenomena in Reactor Physics, such as the approach to criticality, reactor behaviour during changes in reactivity, temperature and void reactivity coefficients. The course is also attended by an international group of students in the Erasmus mundus SARENA programme - MSc in SAfe and REliable Nuclear Applications, involving 4 European universities, as well as students of the nuclear engineering program at Virginia Tech.
